Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Rumoured To Be Buying $4.7 Million Greek Island

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are set to invest in a private island, according to the Hamilton Spectator. The famous couple are reportedly about to splurge a staggering $4.7 million on the Isle of Gaia in Greece so that they can enjoy some time away from the prying eyes of the paparazzi. According to Private Islands Online (PIO), the only international real estate website dedicated exclusively to the sale of island properties, the Isle of Gaia is an “idyllic paradise” surrounded by the “calm crystal clear waters” of the Ionian Sea. PIO claims that the island is touted as “the perfect millionaires’ playground” and that the region in which it is located is “marvellous for water sports, sailing, fishing, deep sea diving, and swimming.”Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Rumoured To Be Buying $4.7 Million Greek Island
The island reportedly has clear ownership papers, with PIO describing the current owner as “a clean company.” Established in 1999, PIO works with representatives who are closest to the island - be it an owner or agent - ensuring that potential buyers receive the most up-to-date information.
According to OK! Magazine USA, Angelina has fallen head over heels with the island and could be days away from completing the sale. If they were to secure the island, they would automatically acquire planning permission to build six villas and subdivide the island into six plots.
The news comes just days after the couple were pictured taking seats in the economy section of an Air France Flight with their six children - Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, Zahara, ten, Shiloh, nine and six-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. In keeping with their fuss-free travels, the family were not accompanied by bodyguards, and travelled with just one of their childminders.
According to OK! Magazine USA, Brad and Angelina have recently been “spending their way into debt,” but news of their imminent island purchase has painted a contradictory picture of the state of the couple’s finances. In May 2015, the Daily Star claimed that Brad splashed out on a vintage seaplane as a surprise gift for Angelina on her 40th birthday on June 4th. Angelina is said to have developed an interest in flying while making her directorial debut in the 2014 American biographical war drama film Unbroken.
A source close to the couple said that Brad had scoured aeronautical dealers across Europe to find the perfect plane. He is also reported to have gifted her a course of flying lessons at Europe’s only seaplane flying school, Aero Club Como. It is therefore possible there is no truth in the reports that the couple are in debt..
