1. Karolina Kurkova Does Not Have a Tummy Button!
Karolina Kurkova is a model and actress and is perhaps best known as a former underwear model for Victoria's Secret. In 2008, she was voted the sexiest woman of the year by E! Entertainment television.
As she is one of the highest-earning models in the world, it is hard to imagine that she could have a noticeable defect, but in fact Karolina Kurkova has not had a navel or tummy button since undergoing surgery in early childhood. In its place is a smooth dimple-like indentation, which is often digitally altered to resemble a real tummy button. What was the cause of the operation? Doctors suggest it may well have been due to an umbilical hernia, the removal of which will often leave a similarly shaped scar.
2. Jennifer Garner and Kate Hudson Both Have Weird Toes
Not all celebrities are gorgeous from head to toe. In fact, it's reassuring to realise that many famous people have surprisingly ugly feet. Jennifer Garner was recently photographed in sandals and her little toe on the right foot looks as if it's attempting to break away from the rest of them - it overlaps her toes at a very awkward angle.
Wearing shoes can't be comfortable for Jennifer! Kate Hudson, meanwhile, is rumoured to have an extra toe! She is in good company, however, as Halle Berry also reportedly has eleven digits. Maybe it could even be a sign of royal blood; after all several members of the Stuart dynasty, such as James 1 of England, were also born with extra fingers and toes.
3. The Different Coloured Eyes of Kate Bosworth and David Bowie

She has one blue eye and one eye that is a mixture of blue and hazel. Other well-known historical figures also had mismatching eyes, such as Alexander the Great, who had one green eye and one hazel.
David Bowie has always had a mesmerising stare. But what exactly has made his gaze so unforgettable? Not many people know that David actually has bi-coloured eyes, although his aren't actually caused by heterochromia. One of David's eyes is permanently dilated - the result of an unfortunate altercation with another pupil at the age of 15. Not so much a space oddity as an ocular oddity!
4. Denzel Washington's Bent Finger
The Hollywood star of 'Malcolm X' and 'Courage Under Fire' was made for wearing military uniforms and always looking handsome. However, despite his overall appearance of dapper perfection, Denzel Washington is not actually physically unblemished! No, Denzel has a broken pinky finger on his right hand.
The finger was broken when Denzel was only a child, when playing basketball and the finger remains crooked to this day as it was never set correctly and is now permanently lodged at a 45-degree angle to the rest of his fingers. Denzel once said that he uses it to scare his children! It certainly isn't a Hollywood secret, Denzel seems to enjoy showing to hosts on celebrity chat shows, only recently showing it to an apparently impressed Graham Norton.
5. The Odd Lump on Jean-Claude van Damme's Forehead
Jean-Claude van Damme has starred in many action films, giving and receiving many hits and kicks. But what exactly is the cause of that rather large round lump on his forehead? Could it be the a swelling as a result of a knockout blow received during the filming of one of his movies? Or could it be something more serious? Yet the rather unsightly lump has been seen on his forehead for many years.
Experts think it is most probably a lipoma. A lipoma is a soft deep bump or mass that can occur anywhere on the body but most commonly on the arms, legs and torso. They are usually symptomless but may occasionally itch or become painful. A lipoma such as Jean-Claude van Damme's consists of benign or non-cancerous cells and may sometimes be removed for cosmetic reasons. Jean-Claude, however, doesn't seem to have the felt the need to do so, and it's presence certainly doesn't seem to have harmed his career!
6. The Scar on Padma Lakshmi's Arm
Padma Lakshmi is a successful and world famous model, television host, cookbook author and reality tv star. Padma is extremely intelligent and can speak five languages.
Padma was born in Madras and moved to the USA as a child. When Pada was only 14 she ran into a patch of bad luck, Firstly, she became very ill with what was eventually diagnosed as Stevens-Johnson syndrome and had to stay in hospital for three weeks. As if that wasn't bad enough, on her way home from hospital, Padma was unfortunately involved in a car accident in Malibu, California, which left her with the seven-inch scar that runs along the length of one arm. However, many people think that the a scar only serves to accentuate Padma's undeniable beauty.
7. The Scar Under Joaquin Phoenix's Nose
Many fans are under the impression that Joaquin’s visible upper lip scar is the result of surgery to correct a cleft palate surgery, but that is actually true. Joaquin, formerly known as Leaf, was born with the indentation, medically known as a microform cleft.
There is an interesting family story behind the upper lip. Joaquin told reporters that when his mother was pregnant with him she began to experience some intense pains, which she felt was caused by God or a mysterious force. A few weeks later he was born with the scar. A few weeks after his birth, he was taken to the doctor who asked 'Who performed this harelip operation? It's the best operation I've seen in my life!' His mother said ' No one - he wasn't born with a hare lip, only the scar.' Weird, huh?8. The Atrophied Thumbs of Megan Fox
Megan Fox, star of 'Transformers' and many other films, has legions of fans who admire her beautiful face and figure. Yet Megan Fox is not completely flawless as she is afflicted with a rare condition called brachydactyly or atrophied thumbs. "Clubbed thumb" is the popular term for stubby-looking thumbs. The clinical name for this condition isbrachydactyly type D, or BDD, which is a bit of a mouthful. BDD is a benign condition, which is characterized by the upper bone of the thumb being much shorter and rounder than usual. The nail bed is also unusually broad and short.
Luckily for Megan Fox, her fingers are completely normal, as clubbing of the fingers is an indicator of a number ofchromosomal disorders. As with other genetic traits such as prominent chins and extra digits, it could indicate royal ancestry, because of the prevalence of those conditions in many aristocratic dynasties.9. Billy Corgan's Stained Hands
Hve you ever wondered what caused the unusual red blotches on Billy Corgan's hands? Billy Corgan, the lead singer of nineties rock band 'Smashing Pumpkins', was born with a large birthmark, known as a port wine stain. this covered the majority of his palm and digits of his left hand. A port wine stain is caused by a condition known as Klippel-Trenauney Syndrome or KTS, named after the pair of French doctors who described the condition in 1900.
There are two other symptoms associated with KTS - varicose veins and hypertrophied limbs- and it is not known whether Billy Corgan is also afflicted with them. KTS is very rare, only affecting one in every twenty to forty thousand children. KTS can't be cured but many of the symptoms, such as one leg that is longer than the other, can be successfully treated with surgery. Port wine stains can sometimes be completely removed with laser treatment, but it doesn't look as if Billy has felt the need, especially as the condition has no effect upon his ability to play the guitar!10. Vince Vaughn's Thumb; It's Shaped Like a Penis!
Vince Vaughn is a well-known actor who has been in many films and television shows, such as Anchorman 1 and 2 and True Detective. When he was seventeen, he was involved in a car crash, losing the tip of a thumb after the incident.
His thumb now does look rather peculiar, and has an uncanny resemblance to another part of the male anatomy! Vaughn, however, is famously unworried by his abnormality and has been known to joke on several occasions that his thumb looks like a 'penis with a fingernail!'
